I love Love LOVE traveling! I especially love traveling as a photographer. I have had the privilege to photograph weddings in Georgia, Tennessee, All over Utah, New Mexico, Oregon, Nevada, California & Arizona. With these travels I have learned a thing or two when it comes to traveling as a wedding photographer. 

Preparation Before the Trip

• Confirm Booking: Double-check the wedding date, location, and contract details.
• Plan Travel Logistics: Book flights, accommodations, and transportation well in advance.
• Pack Photography Gear: Ensure you have all necessary equipment, including cameras, lenses, and backups.
• Create a Shot List: Discuss key moments with the couple to ensure nothing is missed.

Travel Essentials

• Photography Equipment: Bring all necessary gear, memory cards, and batteries. I pick as much as possible in my camera bag and use it as my carry on. 
• Emergency Kit in main luggage: Include items like chargers, extra batteries, and a basic repair kit.
• Travel Documents: Keep any required documents, contracts, and identification handy. Take pictures with your phone of all these documents as well. 

On-Site Preparation

• Scout Locations: Arrive early to assess lighting and shooting spots.
• Communicate with the Couple: Touch base with the couple for any last-minute details or changes.
• Coordinate with Vendors: Build rapport with other vendors to streamline the day.

During the Wedding

• Follow the Timeline: Stick to the agreed-upon schedule to capture key moments.
• Be Adaptable: Be prepared for spontaneous moments and adjust as needed.

• After the Wedding

• Backup Photos: Immediately back up images to ensure they are safe.
• Editing and Delivery: Set a timeline for editing and delivering photos to the couple.
